I collaborated with the senior leadership team to write the museum’s mission and values statements, but I wrote the vision statement myself:

Our vision is a world where people think for themselves and can confidently ask questions, question answers, and understand the world around them.

The vision statement was immediately approved by senior leadership and, years later, is still used frequently by the museum. An abbreviated version appeared in a full-color, full-page ad in the New York Times (shown at right).
